I'm not sure where I got the feeling of the layout being slightly darker before the change; maybe it's just that there suddenly was more white surface area left in the page layout after the reorganization. Previews were a nice feature that also contributed to that fuzzy feeling of binding together the site.</description>

I don't understand exactly what do you mean by lossing the large darker map, as it was hidden before when you clicked on a photo. But before it was faster to go back to the map (except you could not use the back button in the navigator).

I think the thing I'm missing the most is lossing all the previews I was seeing, as now I have to go back and forth to pick each photo that I like in the main page. I have to mourn a bit about this problem...</description>

					<description>Great idea putting the small context maps on the right side; it's much easier seeing the image in its geographic context now! I believe some of the "coherent site feeling" got lost in the transition, though much of it might be in losing the page header and the large darker map part which somehow framed the main site.</description>
