The little box icon stinks, I don't see it at all when I'm scanning over an area. It blends in with rooftops and roadways. Can't we have an option to turn on the old dots?

Mick: Absence of the forum hasn't slowed me down. I'm still posting. There is a user-run forum available. Make "Forum" one of your favorites and take a look. It's not like the old forum, but it works.

Giovanni: The last upload was June 27. Uploads are usually done once per month, usuallym but not always, around the middle of the month. Sometimes it just takes longer for the team to go through the thousands of postings. And when they do and submit their list to GE, there's no guarantee that GE will accept all of them.

I know it's nice to see your pictures on GE, but the Pano community has gone since the removal of the forums, so I am not uploading any more pics.
Has anyone else stopped uploading since the forum went?

Hi, i'm worry about Photos in Bogotá City, Colombia. Photos in GE over Bogotá is in different locations (more than 10 kms), or has bad names. There is so many photos in this situation (near to 80%), so is difficuilt to suggest all of them. Also there is many photos in correct locations that isn't upload to GE. However Bogotá hasn't few photos in comparation other cities of the world. Colombian People hope new uploads and corrections about photos actually in GE, than you :)

I have a suggestion.

What I noticed is when your photo is accepted and added to Google Earth the number of views for that photo quickly starts going up. It would be nice if Panoramio could provide some feedback to Panoramio users on which photo is receiving more clicks and total number of views for all photos of the specific user.

It would be nice to see such statistics as
Views last day, Views last week, Views last month for each photo. "Hot" photo status would also be nice feedback (based for example on the number of photo views per week with respect to total number of views per user over the same period).

@Mary Ke:

I'm not perfectly sure but it's highly probable you're in search of Noboribetsu (hot springs, crater lake, bear park... does it sound?) - Some info may be found here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noboribetsu

The placemark would have to be in

42°26'59.00"N
141°10'12.00"E

Good luck!

I agree guys. I don't like the use of filters to enhance shots either and I especially hate to see those fake photoshop images. Panoramio is a medium for sharing the sights, culture and moods of that tiny spot in the world where we live or have visited. But it's up to the us the users - 'show it as it is folks'. Gerry ps Bravo Padraig Harrington the 'Open' Champion.
