You've captured a very intimate moment, and your skill with geometry ensured a perfect frame for the moment. Great shot, Marilyn.

Thanks, all of you. The scene spoke to me, and afterwards so did the picture. But I wasn't sure that anyone else would be struck by it as I was.

Incidentally, because my little compact camera has an 18x ultrazoom, I took the picture from a great distance, and did not intrude on the subjects.

All your commentators have got it right Marilyn. Dramatic, skilful, intimate, exceptional, sad and sensitive. But may I add that in Black and White, it would appear to be the work of the great Cartier-Bresson!

And thankyou for your sensitivity.

Sincerely,

Ian

Thanks, all of you, for your kind comments.

I'm now signing off, probably for just over a week. Early tomorrow we go to the Galapagos. There is internet on our ship, but I hate to think what the fee may be! Cheers, Marilyn
