Alicia - Check out this article about the 40D shooting infrared. It appears that the exposures will be longer on your 40D than on my D70. Newer technology, hence, better IR blocking. But as I said earlier it is critical to get a custom white balance set on some grass in full sunlight. Really curious about your results.
Best regards, Tom
Hello, Tom. I'm not ignoring you, I've been out of town again, and want to thank you for sending me the link to the article. It confirms that my long exposures may work, and it gives good color samples for processing. I hope to play with the photos over this weekend. I definitely need to do some research as there are some amazing color tints to IR's that I would like to learn about as well. Best regards, alicia
Excellent- very nice photo
Complimenti per Yank - Yellow Star for me
Ciao da Oliviero
Hey Bruce I am glad you like this one. Thanks. I've always had a fondness for the look of IR shots but never thought I'd be taking them. What a bonus that many digital cameras can capture this "realm". I do plan on taking and posting more. Thanks for the encouragement. :)
Grazie molto masseroli per la stella gialla.
Best regards to you both, Tom
Great B/W, well done!
Thank you Jose Daniel for that nice comment.

FINE EFFECT !
Regards Tom !
Beautiful!!!! Just a question!!! Red filter? Seems like the sky is lighter than the use of red f.!!!! Nevertheless you have very beautiful IR shots!!!!! Cheers!!! :) GM.
Thank you ION for the nice comment. :)
Yes GM. I used a Hoya R72 filter on a Nikon D70. Depending on the angle of the sun the sky takes on varying degrees of darkness. Thank you for the kind comments. Glad you like my IR shots. :)
Thank you again Marina for your appreciation of my IR work. Very much appreciated. :)
