Hells Canyon, Oregon

It's such a beautiful place, I wish it was a national park, but it is Hells Canyon National Recreation Area

The view is from the Hell's Canyon Overlook. The view here is that of a side canyon. Hell's Canyon and the Snake River are on the far side of the near ridge. The Seven Devils Mountains, the high peaks in the distance, are on the Idaho side of the river.

Forgot to mention to get the best look of the canyon is to either fly over it or the view from the Hat Point Lookout further north.

Thanks Ralph and Jon, I hope to get back there soon and try floating down the Snake river. I will certainly check out the Hat Point Lookout. Happy trails.

Hi Kate, I use a Canon Digital SLR and a 85mm lens, most of the time.

I only visites a little part of Oregon, but this is wonderful landscape and capture. L-2.
