Early morning at Spurn Point

I'd had this on my to do list for a very long time so decided this weekend that since it was windy but bright this could be a good time for a visit. The trouble was I hadn't allowed for the fact we'd just had a massive damaging tidal surge down the east coast and so the 3 mile road down to the lighthouse was damaged and closed and that meant a very arduous trek through mud and soft sand and in a rush to get there before the sun rose. Sweaty and knackered I got there only just in time thankfully and managed to get enough images to reward my effort but I can't say I enjoyed getting there and the walk back out seemed even longer than the one going.
