Photograph taken in 1985. The "Buck&Dog" and cafe(far left) and the "Warren Bulkeley" public houses (right) were listed for demolition (1987 & 1986 respectively). Melville St.on the left was disappearing and the gantry crane indicates the site of the present day "Asda". The Stockport Borough Court House was later developed into a shopping mall.
