Anyway, I really did not mean to intrude but couldn't resist.
I kinda rediscovered Crystal Springs early in this century (isn't it cool to be able to say that?). And for the first time I had a good camera and a good car at the same time!
In that OTHER century my dad used to drive us by C.Springs and elsewhere, (1950S/60s), finding the curviest roads available. The redwoods were the usual ultimate destination. Us kids got sick EVERY time but we loved it when we could stop and put our feet in the creek and eat cold fried chicken under the big trees.
