Lovely, May! I want to reach out and touch the green! (And of course I immediately remembered the snow scene.)

Incidentally, your photo also lets us see that interesting Google Earth image of the land. What a fascinating area!!

Best regards, Marilyn

Ancsa, Aender, Marilyn, Stephan, Alfred, Víctor, thank you all so much for your lovely comments!

Marilyn, so nice to see you are safely back from your adventurous trip. :) A special welcome back! - It's my turn to leave in about ten days for the UK.

Stephan, very sweet of you to write these lovely verses.

Alfred, ja in der kurvenreichen Schweiz wie auch auf Tenerife geht's fast nur mit Schwung. :)

Víctor, you know well, that nature and some donkey are the artists. ;) A little explanation about the donkey. I've heard an anectode that to find out the best way to plan a road in the hills and mountains used to be, to take a donkey to for example the farmhouse in this picture and to let it walk home and so to choose the most convenient way where the road should pass, without spending too much energy. Now this technique wouldn't work for El Hierro anymore, the donkeys would choose one of the many already existing roads or walk along the best meadows. ;) Thank you very much for the Y*!

My best greetings to you all! May

Nick, we will all be very glad for Springtime. It doesn't look like it now, instead it's snowing again. What a winter! But sooner or later Spring will come for sure. :) Thanks a lot for commenting! Best regards, May
