I am pleased to be the first to comment on this excellent photo MaryKnapp. I can imagine that this is a wonderful place. That is some pond.

The ext.info indicates that the time was around 7pm, surprising then that there is so little light. I can only think that it is due to your latitude. However, the light was just perfect for this shot. Nice job.

Thank you so very much, Jim. I'm honored that you noticed this photo and took the time to investigate further.

You're right about the light. Because of the latitude we have more equal days and nights. Tonight the sun set around 8:30. We also have shorter twilights as the sun and moon go down directly rather than slide across the sky as they do in the far north.

The Everglades is indeed beautiful but only enjoyable in the winter when there are fewer mosquitos! Greetings from the tropics, Mary

Thank you for visiting and for your kind comment on this photo, Brumm. It is indeed a beautiful place, well appreciated by your countrymen. Every time I go to the Everglades I am pleased to see tourists from Germany.

Greetings from Miami,

Mary

Beautiful Photographs, but this is FICUS POND according to the Everglades National Park Map -- not PAUROTIS POND, as named on the photo
