Well ain't that just brilliant ya got heat in the air! Yep the old handle came off the old Mug so i thought it was time to change it as i knew it would confuse our Pam!!!!!!!! He He He... We have had some good weather here as well Pam so just hope it keeps up. By the way we were watching a TV program a couple of months back called ICE ROAD TRUCKERSHAVE YOU HEARD OF THEM ?? they truck goods for the diamond mines in northern Canada across the frozen lakes. Yep I have. I lived in Inuvik, NWT for about 8 months (many, many moons ago) and met a number of them (exept they carried supplies up to Tuktoyuktuk). They are a brave lot....the ice can shift (waves) and break. I drove a car on the Mackenzie ice river from Tuk back down to Inuvik and I was terrified that that a pressure ridge might give way. We also crossed the South Saskatchewan River a number of times on a couple of ice roads that cross it (I'll have to find those pics and upload them for you).
Besides the entrance to the South Saskatchewan ice roads there are signs that warn people that while the ice road is open you go onto it at your own risk. :S My husband feels very nervous doing it because he can't swim....I told him even though I can the water is so cold neither one of us would survive anyways (so don't worry about not being able to swim ;).

Well Pam it was a great program with a lot of brave lads specially when they have young families (and brave Pam to) and as you say swim or not you would still die, maybe you could be the first woman driver ????

LOLOL I think not....I drove a relatively light weight car up north (the taxi driver passed out...drinking is a problem way up there). Down here we have thinner ice but again we drove a car. Those brave fellows drive the big boys (very heavy trucks and semi's).
