YOU confuse people with your name??
What about the folk who ask me "Why triker, Mike-you only got one leg!"
Just getting a cuppa (3.30) then its back to the enjoyment of your gallery, I began at the beginning-makes sense to me!
russianrachel, on August 17, 2008, said:
No no no! I became russianrachel to avoid confusion. There are just too many Rachels in UK. Anyway, everyone knows there are no Rachels in Russia so that should be the end of the confusion!
trikermike, on August 18, 2008, said:
Thankyou for the repeated explanation why you chose the name, I understand!
The opening sentence was an attempt to direct you to my name, as you had stated earlier that people were often confused about your name, thinking that you vwere indeed, a Russian named Rachel. I went on to explain that some people thin that triker-Mike means that Mike has 3 legs, whereas in life I have only the one!, (confused yet?) The name I use, or Nom de Plume is because I own a 3 wheeled bike / wheelchair thing and I am Mike,Ipso facto- = trikermike! _Comprendez vous? By the way, I don't speak French either!

P.S. May we get off this subject and return to commenting on photographs and their authors please, as I find it distracting. It's not good for an old man to be distracted!
I look forward to seeing your pictures from Peter borough.
Mike

This picture, with the two colour themme, shows simplicity in composition-which is very attractive. Personally, I like the high horizon and the excellent use of the negative space to hold the subject in the viewers eye-line. Well composed, well shot!
Well done

Hi Rachel,
I am on a virtual trip from London to Australia, using the photographs in Panoramio to illustrate what is found on the way, going at a pace as if I was walking. I was hoping to make this photo Day 6.
The aim is to contact the photographers, to ask them about what they see in their photograph, and by doing so, discover if within each of us as individuals there are common themes as to what we take, why we take and why we share online.
It is in support of Gill Hick's Draw the Line initiative. She challenged me to draw a line, so I thought of the biggest one I could. You can find more on both the MAD for Peace group in Facebook (and who Gill Hicks is), and my To Australia by Click group.
I like your photo because of its simplicity and humour. I was going to hesitate about saying I liked green (and the blue) but it seems to be a common theme, so, yes, that too!
If you wish to contribute your thoughts to the group I would be very grateful, and equally if you do not wish to be part of this perhaps whimsical journey we will respect your wishes and edit the log to remove your photo.
With best wishes, John
