Yes Rob the sun's actually there. Not sure if you know about HDR but this image is the composition of 3 exposures. That's what makes it appear to be so kind of dynamic and that's why things appear to be added on but all of the subjects here were there when I pressed the button.

Dasha, that's great mate. It is a unique presentation you have so that's the reason for my question. You not only pick great subjects, you're selective with times - ie sun position. I have looked into HDR and tried it myself but I'm only toying around. HDR explains the apparent depth in this photo. Again, I do like it.

Hi Dasha, Seeing as you asked, this was another one I gave a YS to. For sure it looks unnatural, but for me it is short of overdone and garish. Rather, it is dramatic and stunning. And separate from your HDR work, the positioning of the hand rail, to sun and horizon, was skillful.

Thanks for the link to your flickr photos, I had an enjoyable browse. I prefer the back lit seagull, Hang and Observe, to the more silhouetted one you have here.

Hi Dash, I'm sorry I mis-read you question on Prepossessing asking, "Iv'e seem some others tag my stuff with YS - what is it exactly?", thinking you meant which other pics of yours I had tagged.

Thus my comment above, which I was not sure you saw, or were miffed with me. You are not alone in being without any favourite photos, it is not compulsory and it is for you to choose how to enjoy panoramio.

You have favourite names, so maybe it was just the YS term you were querying, anyway, see panoramio's help, Question 26. Adding and removing "Favorites"

But as I said, "As well as yellow stars allowing oneself to track specially liked photos, I enjoy browsing other peoples favs". So I see that the giving of a yellow star on a photo is not just an immediate award to the recipient, but a two part

promotion, while visitors to your gallery get to see photos you found especially good, the recipient may get more viewings/comments.

No offense taken if you choose to delete this after reading.

Thank you for clearing up the YS thing for me. I keep having people tell they are YS ing me . I thought maybe they were saying YOU SHITHEAD or something worse.

I don't delete people's comments either.... actually tell a lie - i did once a while back one guy was being offensive about one of my earlier shots that was overdone CS3 wise. But the only other time i delete comments is when I have seen someone elses shot a couple of thousand times.

ah thank you mario. i did not know i have already done this with several other people already. im ok on the camera but pretty dumb when it comes to figuring simple things out. my wife does everything for me . hmmmm might have to try and figure that out i guess. oops there i go again . now where has my wife gone to help me again!!
