Lightning bolt observed from home. There was a very loud thunderclap after this one....
Wikipedia fact file: The lightning frequency on Earth is around 40–50 times a second or nearly 1.4 billion flashes per year. A bolt of positive lightning may carry an electric current of 300 kiloamps and the potential at the top of the cloud may exceed a billion volts.
