Let me be the first to say "Thanks for sharing." How did you pull this off?

Not only is it a rare stroke of luck to get the bee so perfectly, but the flowers are perfectly balanced within the frame of the picture. It's like you set up your tripod, and waited for the bee.

I bet the truth is that you were just quick and lucky, but wow; this is one heck of a shot!

Thanks so much Hank. You hit the nail on the head. Luck. I was "hunting" with an 18-200mm lens and Canon 500D closeup lens combo when I got lucky with this capture. So no tripod. And the depth of field is limited with this combo so rapid fire yielded this one. Many more were trashed but isn't that the beauty of digital. The composition on the fly takes some practice although I did crop this slightly.

Great B shot, Tom! Also a nice interesting pose from the little bug. Usually I can only catch them when they have their backs turned. Like Bruce, I have yet to catch a really good bee.
