One of the most beautiful places in Cave Creek Canyon - we visited there three years running and stayed with the staff as they were readying the place for the Winter shut-down. Mid-to-late October is a nice time to visit the Chiricahuas if you don't mind the occasional gunshots resounding from the deer hunters. Fond memories of SWRS Director Wade Sherbrooke and his family and Staff.

I lived there in the Summer and Fall of 1992, as a volunteer in the Station. I used to listen to Carlos Nakai and Indigo Girls...and walk on the mountains...and hang out with some very good friends...that was the best time of my life. Thanks Wade Sherbrooke for the opportunity. I will keep the memories of those days in a special place in my heart till the day I die.
