Wow - a BEAUTY!!!

kamalyn on May 17, 2008

thanks, Sonny! I don't know if it's noticeable to others - there's a fairly faint Sundog on the center left of the shot. I'd been waiting for a decent sunset when the dogwoods were in bloom, so rushed to the lake when I noticed the sundog when I was on the highway near home. (and unfortunately for me, there turned out to be a third dog-related element to taking this photo I wasn't aware of til after the shot! :p ......)

Beautiful photo Kamaly! The branches of the tree above and below the horizon kind of have the look of a being a reflection.

Thanks very much, Palmina! So very nice to see you back! And I hope my references to Guy about you being a Geordie weren't too alarming! He's been seeing a Geordie lass and was leaving comments for me in Geordie. So I found an English-Geordie translator on-line to give him a hard time with, right about the same time you made a reply to one of his comments. A word of warning if you visit Guy's page: before doing so, be sure you can just burst out laughing with out raising the eyebrows of anyone around you! Cheers!

Hello Kamaly, your "swan" is beautiful, but for me this one is the better.

Greetings from Germany Klaus

thanks very much Klaus! Its funny: I hadn't started out trying to make this a silhouette. It just turned out to be the only way I could get the dogwood flowers and the little sundog in the shot at the same time! I had thought it was a bit of a throw-away shot, so it's very nice that others like it!
