The May 12th Sichuen earthquake is a big disaster. The whole nation (includes Hong Kong and Macau) observed three minutes of silence in mourning from 2:28pm today to express our condolences for over 34,000 Sichuan quake victims. The hoisted national flag has been flying at half mast from May 19 to 21. All celebration activities (including Olympic flame relay) scheduled during the three-day national mourning will be deferred. It is the first time occurred in China.

A large number of charity donations have been holding. The rescue keeps on.

I express gratitude for your sympathetic to the quake victims.
