Lake Ontario, "The North-South passage".

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

Yes, this is in Toronto. The toughest winter I remember, started in November 2013 and still the icy clutch grip us in the middle of March 2014.

Regular Island Ferry is making it's way to the mainland.

Shot from CN Tower restaurant, where Torontonians usually end up only, when they have visitors from out of town. (556 meters elevation)

The ferry was out of commision for few days, just a day after our visit!

The North - West passage is a treacherous sea route through the Arctic Ocean, along the northern coast of North America in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Roald Amundsen was the first to navigate the waters in 1903.

What a winter.... LIKE!

Impressive view from above, interesting scenery. No winter at all in our country, no snow at all in our region and only a couple of nights with temperatures below zero degrees Celcius ( minus 37 degrees Fahrenheit). LIKE, regards Lucien

Lucien, Canada is metric, only Americans are sticking stubbornly with Fahrenheits, Pound and miles...

today, we got 20 -25 cm snow and -10 c (12. March)
