Hello May, My Grandmother (Dr Kornelia Bachmann)was from Altstaetten, near St. Gallen and she was from the Naeff Family. I will try to attend our Familienfest next June there, depending on how my Daughter's Tournament schedule allows it. Which part of Switzerland are you from? Liebe Grusse, Gabor

Oh, May...I really like this one alot. The lovely colors and fading hills in the background are just marvelous.

I am recuperating well. Still using a walker, which I detest and hope to "graduate" to a cane soon. I am house bound for the most part, but look forward to getting out more by early June. Thanks for asking.

Tamás, yes, in fact it is a region, where people go for hiking holidays.

Gabor, I am from this region, between Lucerne and Berne. The photo above is from the neighbourvillage. My village belongs to the same commune. Altstätten is in the east of Switzerland. I hope you will be able to join the "Familienfest"! If ever you find the time, just send me a message through Panoramio, though I probably won't be here most of the time in June. I have some plans to go to the UK.

Bruce, of course I do, they have not only a red wall on the gymnastic-hall, but covered all roofs in red for my photo.
