Rural village in Madagascar

Land of red soil, the place where low clouds are floating.

The country cottage made of red soil bricks and thatched roofs.

The country town’s simplicity gives comfort, peace, and rest to my mind.

Time is moving on, but scenes of that time remain in my heart and deliver memories.

Most residents of central, eastern, and northern regions of Madagascar are very similar in appearance to Indonesians.

Analysis report supports that it is because their remote ancestors came here from Indonesia along Indian Ocean currents and settled down.

Strong color shown in the residential environment may be their own cultural color or French influence in the past.

People are kinder as one gets closer to the countryside.
