This looks more like a village than a town Claus! Is this your home town? it looks very peaceful.

No, this is not my home town, Paula, this photo taken during a vacation in november 1984. Sint Anna ter Muiden is a small town (240 inhabitants) in Zeeland province, just a few hundred yards from the Belgian border. In the Middle Ages this was a town of some importance, lying at the mouth (Muiden means: mouth) of the Zwin estuary, in those times the waterway that connected Bruges to the sea. In the later M.E. the Zwin silted up and that was leading to the downfall of Bruges as a trading town. All that is left of the fourteenth century buildings in Sint Anna is the church.
