And speaking of floods ... did you happen to notice that on a wall at Chenonceau (I think at the end of the bridge) there's a marker that records flood levels from the past?

Hi Marilyn and welcome back. I did see the marker and fortunately this level was nowhere near those. In the Mosel, a couple of years ago there were similar level markers, some as far back as the 1400's and unbelievably high.
