Very good picture! Congratulations Eva
Fantastical great shot Marilyn ! Congratulations, Tamás
She's so perfect. It's like every National Geographic photo spread I've seen.
I like photos of people in there real life and this is beautiful.
Greetings from Germany, Martin
Thank you, Eva, Tamás, Hank, and Martin.
I had used the strong zoom on my compact camera to take two photos which included this woman. (I've posted one of them.) Later she approached and offered to let me take her picture for one sol (about 35 cents). I'm not usually comfortable doing that, but she was "so perfect," unlike some of the women (usually selling things) who were obviously dressed to catch the eye of tourists. This woman was simply being herself. Feeling self-conscious taking the picture, I only took one shot and this is it, slightly cropped.
This is also a beautiful picture showing this woman how she really is and not specially styled for the tourists. Great shot, Marilyn! Cheers, Anne
Well captured. Is she as tiny as the shot makes her look? Would possibly work very well in black & white with the contrast bumped up!? I like this alot. As Hank says it reminds me of an image you'd see in Nat-Geo.
Greetings Marilyn, Excellent job capturing the essence of this woman. You probably made her day, and you certainly made mine!! Thanks for sharing.
Marilyn , it's very beautiful portrait, I like to take people photos too. Y* and greetings from me :)
Thank you, Anne, Tom, Rich, and filiz kulan--and fk for the Y*. I don't feel confident taking this kind of photo, but I'm delighted when I do it and it works!
(Yes, Tom, she was very short. Someday I'll try playing with this among other photos, but I'm still too busy with the basic editing and with travel to meetings, etc.)
