Qengo is a small but interesting site near Cusco. There the Incas carved out their ceremonial spaces in the existing rock rather than bringing in the massive stones that they used so frequently for construction.
We arrived in time to see the site but too late to take pictures--except for photos of the glorious evening sky!
Qengo sounds like a very interesting place, Marilyn. The evening sky is really marvelous and the last light of the day adds mystery to this beautiful photo. Greetings, Anne
Thanks, Anne, for enjoying the evening sky with me. Greetings, Marilyn
You've managed to capture a beautiful moment. Bravo Marilyn!
Thank you, Pepe. It was too late in the day to photograph the sight we had come to see, but if we had been there earlier, I would have missed this view!
Beautiful place Marilyn and a magic moment.
It was, Marilyn, but I could so easily have failed to notice it, feeling sad that it was getting a bit too dark to get a good view of the ancient site itself. Then I noticed that the _ real view_ was the one across the valley! Chers, Marilyn
beautiful. good job in describing your view of the picts. are you going back to take more picts?
I would love to go back for more, Miguel, but China is next on our itinerary; we leave tomorrow!
