Great shot Leila, that's going straight into my Favourites!

Thanks, muchly appreciated. Didn't think people would comment on my pics never mind put them on their favourites!

Agree with magic, this is a good shot. It works as a surfing shot, as well as a nature shot, the lone surfer adding scale. That must be some serious waves?

Thank you! I'm just 16 so it means alot when great photographers like you and magic like my photos. Just got a new camera aswell so I'm looking forward to my holidays to Sweden and Denmark :)

Hi, when it comes to photography I don't think age matters much, as long as you have "the eye" for good compositions, and for details. More on composition here: http://www.panoramio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1069

This guy is only 12, I think. You are doing great, and I wish you good luck with your new camera. Here is a few users from Scandinavia to inspire you on your trip: http://www.panoramio.com/user/9740 http://www.panoramio.com/user/46684 http://www.panoramio.com/user/42874 Remember to rise early, when the water is calm.

Thanks so much for the advice and links! :)

Leila: You should try uploading your pic to www.magicseaweed.com which has a database of around 20,000 surfing images with a viewer feedback system a bit like panoramio. You'd be pleasantly surprised at the amount of traffic it would get. One thing though, make sure you put 'Surfer' in the title as he isn't easily visible in the thumbnail version!

Luis: Thanks very much for the comments. Your photos are very interesting, some great edited ones. What software do you use? :)

Luis Maderuelo, on June 23, 2007, said:

Hi, Leila. I use "Picassa2", a free soft of Google, and photopaint. Picassa is very simple and fast; photopaint is more complex and slow. Both has different and interesting functions.

Thank you very much for the lovely comment! I'm doing a photography course at school and your comment is a very useful point that I hadn't thought about when I'm analysing it. Thanks again!

The mad surfer - the wildness of the sea and the waves is enhanced by the B&W treatment - reminds me of a certain Bond film, only this is a better image :)

Wow, thank you so much cbaisan for your comment, very much appreciated!

This is a gorgeous photo. It would make a great poster. I was looking through images of the area and this stood out more than all the others so I'm having a look at your other stuff and enjoying them, too. Great eye!

Leila.Evans, on April 17, said:

What a massive compliment, thank you very much, hugely appreciated, I only wish I could use it for my higher photography project =] I think it was one of those "right place and the right moment" shots.
