i suppose the old crane is the reason for the shot, the lighthouse sits (see map left) about two miles into the bay on a seawall. it just seemed a better crop to shoot it without the bay or horizon in it. of course that wonderful late evening blue always helps.

Hi tu-quoque, This old crane in silhouette worked nicely against the evening blue & red of the lighthouse. This is at the end of a pier that runs about two miles into Dublin bay. Strangely the shot works better for having no horizon or seascape in it! Delighted you like it!
