The girls are feeling blue. Mississauga's twisted sisters. Completed in 2012. Design by MAD Architects.

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

Two voluptuous girls. The architect must have been dreaming about his girlfriend(s), when he got this idea. Everybody calls it Marilyn (Monroe) towers, but it is actually called Absolute towers . The tower twists 209 degrees from the base to the top. Designed by Beijing architect, Ma Yansong, and his firm, MAD Architects.

The taller tower is 170 meters and 56 stories. Second is 150 m/50 stories. I got there just about around blue hour, so that's why the girls look a bit sad.

I just do not go much to this area. It took me 4 years to come back with a camera, but you can see old photo of the same building, still under construction [uploaded in Sept 2010.]

Amazingly good shot Tomas!! I love modern architecture, certainly as it is as stunning as these towers.
