Your going to be good at this tag. Is it a basket?
Is it a Mushroom?
wow, what a mysterious thing! I wish I could come up with an answer to your game, but I think its one thing, then eliminate that, then think maybe another but eliminate that.....My guess is its something's mouth part, but of what I have no idea. sort of looks like sea urchin spines, but not in 5's. A sea anemone? Nope. They don't have skeletons...a lamprey's mouth? Great mysterious game!
But what I really wanted to say was: Cool photo! The blue makes it really stand out!
You are so close Kamaly, share prize with Nawitka who said echinoderm. Try this:A sea star wraps around a clam, tide strands them high up beach, star rots and sand and debris stick to clam and harden. The 3-d view is amazing. You guys are good. It's Jayzoe's game, so thanks to her.
well, Nawitka gets the prize for being first, and I'm still sure having a hard time figuring this out! MOST worthy of the 'Weird Things Found in the Charlottes tag! (ain't beaches GRAND??)
so it really is just a mouth, then, plus the clam. sooo weird. how big is it, anyhow?
and you have me intrigued with the mention of how cool it is in 3D. have you noticed any of the strange double photos I've made comments on on my page? It's REALLY easy to do 3D photo pairs that can be viewed just by sort of crossing your eyes, like those 'Magic Eye' things from a few years ago. Or even just post 2 shots of something like this, taken about a foot apart, and I'll make a pair !
PS: congratulations on mastering bold ! ;)
Starfish...cool. My hint could not of been any easier but I was all on the psychedelic thing so I totally overlooked it. I put a pic of the other side of my wierd thing on so check it out. Zoe
Well, I only get half a prize. I saw the little spiny-leggy bristle things, so I copped out with the phylum, but had no idea even which genus it might be. Didn't look like a sea urchin, and obviously not a sea star ... ha ha! and I tried to ignore the wavy edge of what I see now is the clam shell. Very curious indeed!
Well, this landlubber is amazed. I'm still trying to imagine all of that. Great photo, Guy.
Lol Jean, don't worry, us beach goers don't see this often either, well I do but that's cause it's on my shelf.
When I first saw it, I thought it was some sort of handmade basket or maybe an antique purse. I thought it was some sort of antique. You've got some really interesting nature up there in your neck of the woods.
an oldie but goodie that deserves a few fresh views!
