Thank you for your kind remarks on my photos Karen I see you have a few nice ones of your own. If you like the puffins Mald and I (he's listed in my favorites) took loads on the Farne' s on Thursday the weather was near perfect.

Ah yes Karen, this is so wonderfully familiar.
Superb shot of my favourite sea birds.
They truly are gritty little birds with a powerful sense survival. They are the nearest thing we have to a penguin and I love them.
Cheers.

Hi Karen - I'm guessing you're using something like a Sigma 50-500 zoom here - whatever, at 500mm you're getting the equivalent of 750mm focal length in 35mm terms - these guys must be some way off! :) Graham

Hi Graham - I must confess to 'nicking' one of my husband's lenses - I like to let him spend his money, and then I get the use of! It's a Sigma 170-500mm - perhaps a bit on the heavy side for a girly when trudging along the cliff tops - but some very fine results! The viewing points from the cliffs at Bempton are excellent vantage points - but some of the best subjects are a bit of a distance away. Best Wishes, Karen

Hi Karen - erm, yes - I know the story - I share my equipment with wife and eldest child now ... I'm sure your husband's happy with the use you make of it though ;) Graham
