Alan Riley, thank you for your comment about William Yeaman. I am amazed about the internet and how people get into contact, which would never have met each other.
I am so glad, I put up this photo on panoramio. I bought the print of the "Hare's Gap". I think, he told me, the dog on the picture was his own.
My kindest regards, May

hello to you all. We never met Billy, we wanted to , however our last visit to Ireland was a whistle stop tour and we had to leave Ballintoy the same afternoon that we visited the cafe at Ballitoy Harbour, we were astonished when we went to the cafe to see prints of his paintings on sale, and copies of the original one of Carrick-A_Rede that we had bought a few years earlier, I think we bought it in an ironmongers shop in Colraine or Ballymoney. My wifes family come from Antrim and they farmed on farms along White Park Bay at Templestragh and did Salmon fishing as well, the Sinclairs of White Park bay are my wifes family and the Cochranes, the Gaults and Thomsons and Chestnuts at Lough Lynch as well. When my wife saw the painting she just had to have it and we brought it home in the car on the ferry back to Scotland , just as both sets of her great grandpartents had taken the same journey to Scotland to find work in the 1890s, with Billys painting her heart is never far away from Antrim. We send our deepest sympathies to his wife and family and want you to know that he lives on in his paintings that meant so much to him and to others including us. Alastair and Renee Patterson . Alastair and Renéee, thank you so much for your message! I never thought that my photo of Billy would get so much resonance. I am sure, Billy's family loves to read your words! The painting you bought, is lovely. I wish I had bought an original painting instead of the print. I am happy, I went to Ireland in 2006 and met Billy, got the print and the photos of him! This year I went to Scotland. Warm regards, May
Mimi, thank you for your interest! Best regards, May

Alan Riley. Billy's brother Michael was trying to find out if he can get some mugs that had Billys prints as he has some relatives coming from America and I was hoping you could help. Hope you get this message.

I have posted a picture of a plaque about Bill. This plaque has been placed at an alcove at Ballintoy Harbour where my brother William (Bill) Yeaman used to display some of his oil paintings and prints that he had painted. I was very pleased to see the photographs that have been posted here on Panoramio by Swissmay, and to see all the lovely comments posted about Bill,I can honestly say that he would be very happy that he was so highly thought of.

Michael and laral, I am so happy that the photos I have taken and uploaded on Panoramio, are leading to thoughts and memories about William Yeaman. I respected and admired him, when I was so fortunate to meet him and I am pleased to learn more about him. I don't know what made me take those photos in spite of the heavy rain. I am very glad that I did. If I go to Ireland again, I hope to pass in Ballintoy.
My warm regards to you and his family, May
