'Cumberland House' on the Psych grounds. Architect Kivas Tully, 1891. April 15, 2014.

Cumberland House. Named after the 1st manager of the Lakeshore Lunatic Asylum, who resided this historical building! Designed in 1891 by provincial architect Kivas Tully, who also designed Victoria Hall, Cobourg (1860) and the former Trinity College (1852).

Since 1984, this Victorian brick house has been shelter for women with gambling and alcohol problems. It is also known as Jean Tweed Center.
