Chip, I saw your photo of Friant Dam as well. I believe you shot in winter near mid-day. I shot late in the afternoon in August and no filter. I bracketed fairly heavy and chose this shot. I love that dam, we spent many hot summer days up here (we drove from Ventura County) waterskiing and enjoying Millerton Lake. Thank you for your kind comments!

Actually, it was taken just last week. I live only a few miles away, and had gone there to shoot the fallen bridge. You're right about the time, though, it was near midday, and I used a circular polarizer at 90 degrees to darken the sky.

I posted both an X-eye and an anaglyph of the dam. Which did you prefer? Lord Bart says he likes the anaglyph better.
