Lakeshore Lunatic Asylum 1889-1979. Now Campus of Humber College. The students can proudly say that they graduated from Insane asylum.

Lakeshore Lunatic Asylum 1889-1979. Opened in rural area west of the Mimico village by the lake. Kivas Tully, the Chief Provincial Architect at that time was responsible for all of the buildings, including the Gate House, Assembly Hall, Cumberland House and about 10 other buildings build on this large property.

Underground tunnels connecting the buildings were designed in order to quickly travel between the various cottages and deliver food from central kitchen. I have never been in the tunnels, as they were never accessible to public.

Late 1990's the buildings were slowly renovated and now serve as expanded Lakeshore campus of Humber College (around 2006).
