Had a look at your pics and like this one. Nice colours.
I have a photo of HMS Diamond, the previous Type 45 Destroyer which was built on this slip and launched in November last year.

yes the nikon d40 adds quite a bit of colour, had to tweak this down to be realistic, although tweaking the colour up makes a more romantic pic, thanks for the comments,

Nice photo Alan, but a wee tip, Panoramio don
t like photos with a clear view of people, Ive had dozen rejected. LOLAlan McC., on May 30, 2008, said:
really, even if these people asked me to take a pic, and i told them i would post it in google earth, i can see the logic but generally the " big problem" is a click away from deletion, surely it depends on the context,?

thanks a lot jorge, i,m amazed so many people like this one, my camera was on automatic, i,m a beginner with a proper camera, i live in this city, i was looking through all your photos, so many are beautiful, i have only posted photos for google, but i will upload some more normal ones soon, unfortunately i do mostly street photos of people, google does not like to show faces but i like city streets and people photos the most of all. muchos gracias Alan in UK.

thankyou mate, so many people comment this pic, i thought only people from glasgow would like it, because it is truthful to the scene, and i like to find views of my city that are truthful and beautiful, i wish i could post photos of people in the city for google, but i,m told they dont accept people seen too clearly, it seems silly, i would love to be in a google snap haha, yes all the walks thru the city up to park terrace are very nice, i was up there yesterday and then took a pic or two or ten actually of trinity house and the wedding building from a hill viewpoint above charing cross,,i will need to go back the light would be better in the middle of the day,, thankyou again its great to hear from you.. Alan.

Beautiful composition Alan. The overcast conditions help & the sun breaking through is a nice bonus. :)

Thanks for your comment on my gallery. Always nice to have photo's appreciated, that's why I try my best to visit as many new Panoramio galleries as possible to give my views. As for the techie questions: I use a PC+CS3 & PSP X1. As for the Mac -Users keep telling me how good iphoto is? Seems like a few free programs out there for Macs but I have no experience of them. Cheers. Herb
