While I was attending the reunion of Oberlin College's Class of 1958, I checked Panoramio and discovered that it included only a handful of photos of Oberlin. The reunion kept me quite busy, but I was able to take a few pictures to start filling that gap.
This is the residence in which I spent my first year as an Oberlin College student.
Nice place,good shot!Cheers,Thomas MY CONTEST
Not bad,Marilyn. How was it to be there after all that time?Or have you been there in the meantime?
Thank you, Thomas and Daniela.
I've been back for some other reunions, Daniela, so I've had a chance to grow accustomed to the changes gradually. But of course I enjoy seeing the things that haven't changed--like this residence hall, which was old when I arrived as a new student!
At the reunion I was fortunate in having good visits with two of my three former roommates (the other didn't come) and with a few other good friends from long ago. Cheers, Marilyn
Nice pictures, Marilyn! My daughter just graduated from Oberlin with the class of 2008. I was surprised at how few Oberlin pictures there were as well, so I added a couple of my own...
Thanks for your visit. And I'm glad you've added to the Oberlin collection. Marilyn, Class of '58 (so I was there for my big reunion at the time of your daughter's graduation)
My pleasure! And you have some wonderful pictures of archaeological sites... My daughter was a classics major, and spent some time on a dig in Italy... I'm sure she'll enjoy seeing them! I'll pass along a link.
Thank you. I hope she enjoys them. This last trip would have been a classicist's dream!
