My old school on Strossmayer Square in Prague. This Art-Nouveau school building on Strossmayerovo námestí in Holešovice was built in 1907. The school was originally Gymnasium (high school), but became primary school only, since 1961. In the courtyard was a playground, some large trees and in the winter skating ring. In the basement used to be school cafeteria.

The dogs were friendly, minding their own business.

The High School was named in 1948 after NY Mayor La Guardia. It is now called simmply Stross after the plaza, which was named after a Croatian Strossmayer, known for promoting Slavic culture.
