La Paz: Colonial Buildings on Calle Jaen

Very beautiful street, Marilyn! I love the colors, and the splashes of light which I guess are from the windows across the street. And the whole thing is perfectly framed under the arch. I will put a yellow one.

A great picture. The perspective is unique: as the lane goes narrower and deeper, and bends to the left, we are left to imagine a flight of steps maybe, but surely no dead-end.

I find it so fantastic that the blue and yellow of the last houses merge with the reflected red from the opposite facade. It really gives an impression of a kaleidoscope.

Ohhhh - I LOVE it!

When our guide said that she was going to take us to her favourite street, I didn't understand, How should she have a "favourite street"?? But now I understand. I took one picture after another, and then when we got to the end and looked back, this was the view--the best view of all!

Thank you, Billy, Hank, Javier, Bruce, and Pam. Even though I'd had a wonderful time taking pictures as I walked up the street, it was a real "Wow!" experience when I got to the end and turned around.

Bruce, one place where they use color, maybe not quite so intense but nevertheless with abandon, is in Newfoundland. If you haven't been there, you should go! (Unfortunately, though I've been several times, I haven't visited since I've had a digital camera.)

Thank you, Christophe and Alicia. Although by this part of the trip I was accustomed to seeing lots of colour, I still wasn't expecting to see anything as beautiful as this.
