Beautiful shot May. If I didn’t know it was Scotland I’d have said somewhere in the Caribbean. I took this shot recently in Largs. Do you recognise it?

Billy, have you got any advice, about what to see in Ayrshire on my way? If it is not too far off may way. In 2004 I came through Paisley during the rush hour, but finally I found out and went down direction Dumfries, beautiful countryside, unfortunately I didn't have the time to go anywhere, in 2005 I was in Leadhills, I hope to put the photos on one of these days.
Oh May! What a gorgeous capture of Scotland! I knew some areas there can grow Palms but even with that knowledge I'd swear you had taken it in the tropics somewhere. ;) *I just scrolled up and I see Billy thinks the same as well. :)
Thanks, Pam! Everybody is, even I am, surprised every time I see the photo, but the date on the photos of my trip make it evident, that it's real. Btw. didn't you once want to see a Scottish piper in his kilt. You find some on my Gretna Green photos here
and there on my new page or at both, just under the tah 'Scotland'.
It was really amazing! There was an exceptional day on that date with record warmth of around 30° Celsius even in the late afternoon and all sunshine. The view during daytime looks a bit like a photo of Southern Europe as well. (The link is from my other site).
It was 22:35 at the time, I took the picture. That's what I love so much in the North during Summertime, the days are so long and the nights never get quite dark.
I passed again at the same place a fortnight ago, the palm trees are still there, but this time it rained heavily, when I arrived. It was nice again the other day, at least till the afternoon, long enough to get a few photos on my way in Galloway and Dumfries to Northumberland. :)
