A couple of queries: Wouldn't it have been better if the colours were ORANGE? Is this in anticipation of the 18-06-2008, and is it therefore prophetic? Please tip the winner for me.
Thank you Ian, what screen colours do you have in Australia ?? This is really ,Orange by sunrise, believe me it is not a prophetic view, winning or not, Bern will be Orange coloured the next weeks. I hope we all have a lot of fun and then there are only winners. In Bern we have a good chance, I've got very importent regional meteriological information from Werner, I've send it to our coach.
I thought it was a wee bit Suisse red on my monitor for Hollander patriotism. And the date a little ahead. But you be the judge, if it stirs a little passion in you it is just the right colour...for me too. We were in Europe in 1978, and our son who still spends all day Saturday at the football (soccer, here) playing, organizing, etc was only 6 then, and as you know your football history you will know why ORANGE is his favourite European colour. His local colours are blue and yellow.
And by the way, though I know others have thanked you, thank you from me too for your fast alerting and generosity of time on the evening of Panoramio's black day. We are all a bit more cyberwise now. And the team at Panoramio did a great job.
Are we likely to see some more football carnival atmosphere in your gallery? I hope so.

I don't want to overwrite your comments to Dick and Karl so let me prelude my response with mention of them.
It is true that I have grandchildren, and they both have been at soccer almost all day most Saturdays. The older has just had his 2nd birthday, and dribbles the ball around quite competently! The younger is only 6 weeks old but has been to soccer for 6 weeks now. Both their Dad and their Mum play, though one of them has taken a break for a few months now!
Have a great time in Bern. You'll have to invite Swissmay to come and barrack for the Orange team.
Great photo Luud. The Dutch fans always seem to fill any stadium their team plays in with this sea of orange!
Wish my home country (England) was represented too, but if you play defensive football as they have under their last two managers, it's hard to come back from even one goal down!

Du hast völlig recht Luud, das war ziemlich aufregend gestern. Ich glaube (auch), im Deutschland-Türkei-Spiel hat nicht der Bessere, sondern der Glücklichere gewonnen. Und nach dem verlorenen Spiel Holland-Russland war ich sehr traurig! Ihr habt ein wunderbares Team, das einfach Pech mit der Form an einem Tag, in einem Spiel hatte - und die Zuschauer haben Pech, weil sie seit dem auf das sehenswerteste Fußball in ganz Eruopa verzichten müssen! Du hättest mal die Stimme des deutschen Reporters hören müssen, wie er, oft zweimal vor Bewunderung, "Van Persi" gerufen hat (das erste Mal mit heller Aufregung, das zweite Mal mit Erstaunen), wenn der am Ball war!
