They call it the "Peña de los enamorados", the lovers rock. The legend says that there used to be a local princess who was in love with an Arabic prins. Due to the difference of religion it was an impossible love. The locals tooked the Arabic prins in jail but the princess released him. Desperately they both run away from the soldiers straight to the rock. They claim on it to get away from that army and togheter they desperatly jumped of the rock in the deep and died togheter...:=( I find it a great lovestory. Take it with you to Tenerife. Bye, Bart.

Another legend Lloyd. There was a Spanish princes felled in love with an Arabic sultan. The sultan was prisioned in the castle of the princes' father. They both escaped and ran away to the rock. Hunted by the army of the Spanish king they both desperatly jumped of the rock and died together. A love story. Cheers, Bart.
