Very nice this shot, from the arcades. Great idea. Sincerely, Juan.
Beautiful! I adore your South America pics! Your trip must have been as interesting as mine to Thailand!
Thank you for taking me along on your "trip of a lifetime"!
The beauty of Panoramio is experiencing places I may never get to visit through the eyes of a great photographer who is seeing it as a true visitor, not a tour book writer.
Thanks again, Leo.
What a beautiful light you had,Marilyn. One of your "window shots" even if it's an arch.Ciao,Daniela
You captured a great scene here, and like Daniela, I too like the window/arch effect. Good work.
Thank you, Juan,l Sonny, Leo, Daniela, and Hank. I'm glad you like this view. I thought it caught something of the essence of the city with its plaza, its cathedral, and its arcaded buildings, but it was hard to photograph. When I stood back to get the perspective I wanted, people and vehicles kept passing by at just the wrong time! Cheers, Marilyn
As wonderful as the view might have been without the people, they are the reason for the place, and without them it would be a less vibrant scene. I really enjoy how all the closer individuals are silouetted or in shadow, there, but not clearly seen, it helps give the colours and the gorgeous light more intensity.
light and shade BEAUTIFUL! congratulations Eva
Thank you Vicki, Bruce, and Eva. Yes, I agree, Vicki, that the people add to the photo. But sometimes they got right in front of me--which was to be expected considering where I chose to stand to get the composition I wanted, with the light and shade!
