yes got me thinking for a moment "A pair of Swans" oh yes it must be the boat ~ nice play
Scally, on December 21, 2008, said:
Aye Nick the Boat is called the Yoker Swan. Very peaceful compared with your neck of the wood, but off picture to the right there are 3 D Class Destroyers, at various stages of building, tied up on the River side, straining at there moorings to get down to Sunny Portsmouth.LOL cheers scally

Good title and lovely photo! :) I had to enlarge it to find the second swan! Maybe I should stay in Glasgow for a night. I never thought there were such idyllic places as that, Scally!
Best regards, May

Believe it or not May, Glasgow had the title "Dear Green Place" given by the English Spy Jonathan Swift,(author of Gulliver,s Travels) when he was up here checking the lie of the land. Many years ago I picked you a New Zealander friend off his ship in the Glasgow Docks and drove him to my home 10 miles away, and his first remark when we got there was "where,s Glasgow? all I seen was big green Parks" Wee bit more built up now May? lol cheers scally.

It's the cities in Scotland, I don't know much of, Scally! That's the disadvantage of travelling by car, the problem to find a car park is everywhere the same, the car then becomes a nuisance. ;) Since Jonathan Swift, the situation must have changed quite a bit. ;)
Nevertheless, I believe you from seeing your photos, I remember 'Holmwood' and the one of my favs from the river in Paisley with the motorway above, the river looks, as if it was somewhere in the country. Best wishes, May

If there is a City or large Town, where one could guarantee a parking place May,then I don,t know it.I even have bother and I,ve got a blue disable badge for a bad Knee. The last photo I looked at of yours was from "Tropical" Largs. the last day I tried to go there on a Bank Holiday, I never even got into the town, but returned home from a jam of traffic 3 kilometres outside. We old age pensioners in scotland get free bus and discounted train travel, which makes cat ownership silly, but as there are always gigantic car parks at the Super markets and Malls my wife uses the car( and my Badge) for shopping every Saturday. I think Mr. Swift came up from England using roads like yours in public transport= Coach and Horses, lol cheers scally.
