hi

Thank you Rajnish Dutti, I haven't seen the view of the cave, or the Shivalingam, since 1982 when as a young (English) man of 23 years, I took part in the Yatra accompanied by many other Indian pilgrims, and an Australian lass called Margaret. It remains to this day one of the most vivid and powerful memories of my entire life. I had made friends in Pahalgam with a group of Sadhus, and we kept "bumping into" each other along the way.We bathed in the icy stream near the cave, and went in barefoot. As we entered and ang the bell, the doves flew in which made everyone cheer! Afterwards, at the beginning of the walk back, a Holy Man called Lal Baba fed us all on pumpkin curry and chapatis. I didn't have a camera, but Margaret did, and she later sent me a foto of a stage on the route called Panchtarni,( Five Headed Snake, being the confluence of five rivers, and a sacred place where we camped for the night) which Google cannot find. I'm going to try uploading it, just as soon as I can find it!! Again, thank you!
