Looking down towards Oldshoremoor Bay we see further evidence of these prolific red roofed buildings. A joy for my eyes and hopefully yours.

Jan, Nickolay, Jarek, Steve, Ewa and Andy, very happy to see you all here again. Indeed I too was very happy to see such crofts and old barns up in the Highlands. Without the red roofs these would go almost unnoticed I think. Here is the HDR version. Many thanks for your great awards.
Best wishes, Herb
Agree with Steve here, it is very green indeed... (a colour not common to an Australians eyes) :)
What a superb location Herb, does someone live there or is the building derelict?
I love the contrast in colour with the red roof..... these are quite common you say?
Both the 'natural' and the HDR versions are good, with the sky being the main beneficiary (the clouds as usual) of the latter. Thanks for showing both for interest Herb.
Such a great landscape !
Fantastic series, every pic like a small diamond.
Best regards from Berlin, Heidiho
Steve, Andy, Gabriel and Heidiho, great to see you all here again. Yes, I was very happy with this scenery in Scotland -a very pleasant surprise for me as I had not researched the photo possibilities before I went. (I like to be surprised). I rather doubt that folk still live in these buildings which might have been 'Crofts' once. I think these are just used as out-buildings for the nearby farm. Glad you like my 'variations' Andy. Happy you like this set of 'diamonds' Heidiho.
Best wishes to you all, Herb
And what a view! Superb shot.
Must remind you of home Clive!.
