This is an early morning mountainside view of Arizona's Sonoran Desert, taken on the slopes of the McDowell Mountains. It has the characteristic flora - saguaros, jumping chollas, palo verdes, and various brush plants, green and lush in the springtime. The bright halos around the cacti are the result of the sunrise backlighting shining through the cactus needles.
