I think that the place we see on this photograph is where the rests of the Tiger 007 crew have been buried, and were discovered on 1983. Stevep's message is true.
Site near to where Michael Wittman was killed on 8th August 1944 when his Tiger Tank 007 was destroyed. SS-Hauptsturmführer Wittman was leading a group of 7 Tiger tanks from SS Heavy Panzer Battalion 101 (in German Schwere SS-Panzer-Abteilung 101, commonly abbreviated as s.SS-Pz. Abt. 101 was one of Waffen-SS's elite armored unit. the Tigers were attacked by Sherman tanks of A Squadron, 1st Northamptonshire Yeomanry, A Squadron, the Sherbrooke Fuisilier Regiment, and B Squadron, the 144 Royal Armoured Corps
