Snailbeach!! We went there many years ago because of the name & the density of contour lines on the map! It was fascinating. Once we'd climbed & climbed we rested on the rabbity turf & lots of curious sheep came over to say hello. Thanks for the reminder!

Sarah If you like your contour lines dense try the path running East from SJ 218 453, following the stream. (sans 3 year old though). Some good rock scrambles there, but the view from the top is 360 degs, the turf nice and soft, and the stream descends there by a series of mini-falls over mossy limestone.
