That's nothing! I have friends who went regularly by boat from Tighnabruaich to Tarbert. One day, for a change, they decided to visit Lochranza on Arran. It was a bit hazy. When they arrived they were struck by the many similarities with Tarbert; even the ferry slip looked the same.
It even said "Welcome to Tarbert". They shoukld have used a compass. Ian

This is actually East Loch Tarbert on Loch Fyne. The concrete slip is for vehicles to board the CalMac ferry across Loch Fyne to Tarbert.

By the way, this is Tarbert, the West shore of Loch Fyne. There's nothing at Portavadie; only a fish farm. (I've suggested the correct location.)
Although that's set to change: outline consent has just ben granted for a village with shops and an hotel. Cheers! Ian
