Home Sweet Home

Duncombe Park is the seat of the Duncombe family whose senior member takes the title Baron Feversham.

The house was completed in 1713 to designs by the architect William Wakefield.

After being handed down through the family over the following years, the building was used as a girls' school between 1914 and 1980.

The house is now closed to the public, but parts of the 40 acre grounds are now owned by the Natioal Trust, and T.V. mini-series have been filmed there.
